Architecture & Construction

Architectural design grounded in ethical values
without compromising esthetical principles.

Design practice based:

1. Leading role of ethics in promoting responsible and sustainable architecture
to creatively explore relations between the environment and the available resources.

2. Bring together a collaborative construction process based in shared objectives, promoting
quality craftsmanship within economic democracy in a healthy construction development.

3. Use of  traditional constructive systems and green building technologies
optimizing available resources & minimizing the impact of construction
into environment.

4. Recognize the bondage between time of life and working time as
main purpose for personal realization.

Housing Project in Mexico City, this is my first approach using traditional
constructive systems from Mexican heritage architecture & technologies.

Traditional Courtyard as the core space of the house and Bahareque system for the
double layered ceiling. Basis from analyzing solar trajectory for beneficial energy
supply and protection from its heat followed by variability calculation and analysis
and sustainable guidelines: local materials & processes, greenery for improve
seasonal cooling conditions.

Collaborative work proposal for Ya Muntsi Behña which brings together green building
technologies & traditional systems. Today the community builds mainly concrete houses
which results economic and time efficient. This proposal optimizes actual housing
qualities by involving traditional Maguey construction heritage reducing the impact of
radiation in the roof, incrementing thermal mass in the building. Rain water supply &
solar power electricity are guidelines to achieve self-sufficient community living.
